Student Information System (SIS)

The computer system used by the University for student administration is called “Student Information System”, more commonly known as the SIS.

You will be using SIS for many administrative matters. For example, SIS provides you with comprehensive course information (e.g. lecture venues) for course selection. You will also enroll / add / drop your courses through SIS.

The website of SIS Project provides you with more information on SIS and contains a “Students’ Guide to SIS” for your easy reference.

If you encounter any difficulties in using SIS, you may read the document “SIS Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) for Students” prepared by the SIS Project Office, or contact the SIS Helpdesk directly at 3917 0123 or via email at

Please also note that during the course enrollment periods for undergraduate students, the SIS Project Office would set up a help desk in computer labs for handling students’ enquiry and the details are as follow:
Dates: Aug 7-13, Aug 21-27, and Sep 2-13, 2013 (Mon-Fri)
(except University and public holidays) during the above First Semester Course Selection and Add/Drop Periods
Time: 09:00 – 13:00, 14:00 – 17:30
