Meet Your Faculty Academic Adviser (FAA)

To make sure that you are transitioning well, each first-year student is assigned to a Faculty Academic Adviser (FAA) who is a current teacher in your home Faculty. He / She will advise you on study-related matters and specific Faculty requirements. You are required to meet with your FAA at least once every semester in your first year.

How to Prepare for a Successful Scholarship Application and Interview

Workshop Highlights

The “How to Prepare a Successful Application and Interview for Scholarships” workshop was held on March 24, 2015 (Tuesday) in KK 202, K.K. Leung Building, for undergraduate students to get tips and practical advice on how to compile scholarship application materials and present their best in a scholarship interview. There were over 100 students joining this event.

Mock interview was conducted in the workshop. Two selected candidates from different study programmes were on stage to interact directly with our experienced interviewers, including Professor Patrick Y. K. Chau, Director of the School of Business, Dr Vera S. Yip, Faculty of Medicine and Ms Rachel Hong, Academic Adviser of the Academic Advising Office. Immediate personal feedback was given to the candidates and the floor had been opened for questions. Both the interviewees and the workshop participants had gained a lot from this “real experience”, particularly on scholarship application skills and how to handle tough interview questions.
