What is Academic Advising
Academic advising is a developmental process in which you are empowered to think critically, explore available academic options, and take personal responsibility for goal-setting and decision-making with the guidance of your teachers and academic advisers.

What we do

  • Help you develop study plans and understand resources available to achieve academic goals.
  • Help first-year students make a smooth transition to the University.
  • Conduct group workshops on general academic topics throughout the academic year.
  • Work closely with Faculties, CEDARS and halls of residence to co-ordinate and implement university-wide academic advising initiatives and to share best practices.
