Workshop: Understanding Research Postgraduate Studies
Date: 8 November 2018 (Thursday)
Time: 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm
Venue: JLG 03, James Hsioung Lee Science Building, Main Campus

Who is it for?

All undergraduates (especially senior year students) who are interested in RPg studies in future

What is it about?

As a follow-up to the Information Session given by the Graduate School in October, this workshop aims at enhancing students’ understanding of research postgraduate (RPg) study programmes. Experienced RPg supervisors will be there to share with you their expectations of applicants and research students. Current MPhil and PhD students from different disciplines will also be there to share their first-hand application and study experiences in small groups.

Workshop: An Overview of Postgraduate Education
Date: 12 November 2018 (Monday)
Time: 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm
Venue: CYPP3, Chong Yuet Ming Physics Building, Main Campus

Who is it for?

All undergraduates who are interested in learning more about postgraduate education

What is it about?

This workshop aims at introducing to students different postgraduate study opportunities and how to prepare themselves for the higher academic goal. The guest speaker will talk about postgraduate study opportunities at HKU and beyond. Different types of study programmes will be introduced with their key differences highlighted. Participants will be guided to reflect on the various factors they should consider in drawing their academic plans and make appropriate preparation. AAO and the guest speaker will take questions from the participants in the Q&A session.
